I hope you enjoy browsing. Don't stop at page one! Take a look at the animal portraits, people portraits and landscapes too. Thanks.

Artist Statement: I have been creating art since I  was old enough to hold a crayon. As a little girl growing up in the 1950s, there were only two things I dreamed of doing - the first was to be an artist; the second was to skate in the roller derby!! I decided long ago that art was moderately safer.

Painting children and animals is especially rewarding and I try to capture the essence of every subject. It could be the innocence in a grandchild's face.  It could be the regal pose of your champion canine pal or the mischief in your rescue dog's eye.  Capturing  fleeting moments of childhood or family memories is very important to me and translating a old wrinkled black and white photo into a painting that will last for generations is one of my favorite things to do.

I believe that art, like life, is a journey. With each painting I create I take another step....to where I'm not yet sure... But I'm happy knowing that I'm on my way and that the destination is not as important as the trip!

All paintings are totally hand painted using only professional grade mediums and museum stretched canvases. No computer generated art ever!

For a commissioned painting of a child or pet, all I need is a clear photograph from which to work. I will consult with you via phone or email and together we will select an appropriate background color. I can even put your subject in a different location if that's the way you want it!
